Diabetes is a medical condition where the volume of glucose in your blood is too high because the body cannot use it properly.
The condition can lead to very serious health issues and after effects. This is because there is no production of insulin in the pancreas or there is not enough insulin being produced, this needs to work properly to help glucose enter your body’s cells – or the insulin that is made does not work sufficiently (known as insulin resistance). The glucose is needed for fuel which is used to produce energy so we can work and play and most importantly lead a healthy life. In other words is very vital to our lives.
There are 2 types -Diabetes type 1 and Diabetes type 2.
Type 1 Diabetes is treated with insulin by injection on a daily basis, as well as regular exercise and a healthy diet. Insulin is not able to be produced by the body in this case. Type 1 diabetes is most commonly found in childhood and usually develops or appears before you are 40 years of age.
Type 2 Diabetes affects 85 to 95 percent of the population and can be treated with healthy diet and an increased regularly exercise. There is not enough Insulin being produced in the body or its is not working properly in this case. Many do need treatment with medication and some with insulin.
