Unfortunately, this insurance policy is not providing cover for the Volcanic Ash situation under any of the sections of insurance.
Under E.U Regulations, the flight companies do have an obligation to compensate for auxiliary expenses such as accommodation costs etc,
depending on the type of ticket you have purchased. Unfortunately the policy excludes this scenario of expenses refund.
As the circumstances are beyond your control, your insurance cover will automatically be extended day by day up to a maximum of 30 days
after the expiry of the policy when the return is necessarily delayed as a result of ill-health of you or failure of public transport
provided that the Assistance Company has been notified.
